Taking part on Instagram

When you comment your town under a post by @porchlight.usa, we read your public Instagram name, your comment and its time through Meta’s official interface. From that we work out your town.

Only your @name and your town become public, here on the map and in our videos. We don’t know your address and never show it. The text of your comment is not published on the map.

By commenting your town you agree to this. You can change your mind at any time. This does not affect anything done before you changed your mind.

Taking part is for people 18 and over. We keep the data for as long as the project runs or until you ask us to remove it. We do not sell your data.

Turning off your light

DM us and we remove your light and name from the map. On request we also remove or replace videos already published. You can also ask us what we hold about you and have it corrected.
